Friends for Older People
Pendle Hill Community Visitors Scheme seeks to provide companionship for residents of aged-care homes who don't have regular visitors.
A community visitor is a volunteer who befriends a resident on a one-to-one basis.
There are a number of qualities required in a visitor. If you have love and empathy for the aged,are personable, have personal integrity, and if you are able to make a regular commitment (at least once a fortnight), then you might make a perfect visitor!
